A mindfulness workshop is a great introduction to mindfulness and the mindfulness based approaches (MBSR and MBCT) as taught and designed by Prof. Jon Kabat-Zinn. It will also teach how mindfulness can be used in healthcare and education.
You will have the opportunity to experience all the different mindfulness meditation techniques that are used in the mindfulness courses:
• Mindfulness of the breath
• Body Scan meditation
• Loving Kindness / Compassion meditation
• Mindful body movements (including Mindful Walking outside if weather permits)
If you are considering attending the 8-week MBSR or MBCT course, with the intention of personal or professional development, this workshop is a great introduction to the course contents.
Our mindfulness workshops are held on selected Saturdays or Sundays from 9 am to 12 pm. Places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.
